We have seen tremendous progress for the LGBTQ community, ethnic and religious communities, but challenges to equality and dignity remain. In our community, Clyde has advised local groups seeking legal remedies to combat hate speech, and has marched with Muslim leaders in the Bronx to demand increased police protection to prevent attacks. In Congress, Clyde would work to ensure our diversity is defended and has a strong local support system.
